HMRC condemned for ‘astonishing’ tax practices as fraud soars – how can risks be reduced?

HMRC have been called on to review tax collection problems that may have contributed to tax gap issues and fraudulent activities. According to the Public Accounts Committee, such problems maybe costing the UK £3.5billion in fraudulent or error prone furlough arrangements.
